Abby (1970) Dir by William Girdler: A black exorcist with 70’s sleaze and sex. Some funny looking demon possesses some woman and later makes her become an evil whore that wants to get fucked and treats her friends and family like shit, which is the opposite of who she is. Best scene is a mighty hard kick right square on her poor husband’s balls. You can feel the guy’s pain as the foot and testicles make contact. And the voice is fucking insane on the possessed chick. Actually a lot of this movie is insane. Love the goofy special effects and the way Abby goes from innocent to fucked-up is priceless. This is like my favorite blaxploitation film, they even got Blacula to be the Exorcist. It’s a damn shame the stupid corporate suits at Warner Brothers sabotaged the distribution and release of this movie cause they wanted to monopolize the “exorcism” genre and crushed all other movies about possession. Now I have to settle for a cheap bad quality DVD release while stupid shit like Darkness Falls gets better treatment. Poor Abby. GORE = 2 SHIT = hilarious sleazy cheese DEATH = to you

Aftermath (1994) Dir by Nacho Cerdas: Basically a story about a corpse fucker at work. Disturbing to hear at first. It kinda loses the shock value on repeated views and becomes just hilariously gross instead of disturbing. I actually view it as a dark comedy now instead of a exploitation shock/gore film, a guy being super serious and tense as he humps a rubbery corpse is pretty funny when you think about it. It's still a great technical piece of cinema, real tight camera work and good sense of atmosphere, it looks like the budget is bigger than it really is, Nacho knows how to craft a film. This movie is like bad taste dressed up as an arthouse film with the amazing camera angles and symphonic music. GORE = 666 SHIT = Hilarious Cheese and Sleaze DEATH = to you

Ai no corrida (1976) Dir by Nagisa Oshima:I read about this movie in an exploitation/horror/serialkiller book before. Lucky for me I finally saw it in school for some "human sex" class. There's some hardcore penetration scenes, money shots, and a detailed gore-drenched chopped off penis (you see the blade go right through the shaft and blood leaking everywhere, one of the most painful scenes I've ever seen in a movie!!) but it's an arthouse film at the core. Some of the sex stuff is sick, like an egg pushed up a cunt and then "hatched" for a guy to eat it, licking period blood, and banging one ugly old hag until she dies. Every scene had the whore and her lover fucking and doing kinky S&M shit no matter where they were to illustrate how obsessed these people were with each other. It's actually based on a true story too. Very popular in the news in Japan during the 30's. I wouldn't consider this porn because the sex scenes were meant to shock and disgust people about how obsession can become freakishly extreme and scary, not to get you beating your meat. GORE = 8.5 (if it wasn't for the penis chopping scene it would be a 1) SHIT = Sleaze to he Extreme! DEATH = to you, definatley worth seeing, some sex scenes are long and banal but sitting through the entire movie is a rewarding experience. I think this is a movie that will oddly appeal to the lowest of low-brow and highest of high-brow only.

Alien Dead (1980) Dir by Fred Olen Ray:Pure z-grade trash that's probably painfully bad to watch for most people. The zombies looks like black metallers and all they do is suck on people and these people spit out ketchup. That's the gore, ridiculous eh? Most of the movie is padded with mindnumbing dialogue and a few boob shots (the chicks aren't even hot). The best thing about the movie is the zombies sometimes do have alien make up. But man, this movie is an atrocity that will make you wonder if your IQ dropped after the show's over. GORE = 8 SHIT = So much cheese and hints of sleaze DEATH = hmm, death to nobody, I think EVERY cult/b-movie fan has to watch this, there are some infamous cheesy trash flick you just have to experience for yourself

Alien Factor(1978)/Fiend(1980) DVD 2-pack Dir by Don Dohler: Alien Factor has this amazing story about aliens crashing on earth, terrorizing people, getting people to act stupid about handling the problem, and the ending is a huge unexpected twist that got me giggling for days. There were awesome primitive lazer beam effects and a silly yet amusing explanation for many of the bizarre happenings. The best part about the movie was this freakishly tall alien walking on carpet covered stilts. It looked like he was going to tip over any second too. He also had this weird thing with swinging his right hand in a rhythm. Watch as people run in fear at this thing they probably had to help up after filming the scene. Fiend was pretty cool too, simple story about this neighborhood jerk that chokes people to death in order to gain energy to live longer. Nobody suspects him though (even if his murders are done in broad daylight) The one man to stop him is his next door neighbor that hates his loud music. Plenty of trademark Don Dohler cheesy lazer/light effects. Don Dohler is a genius filmmaker, Nightbeast was rad too and even had some gore. Get familiar with his work, he has his own style (which I can't say about all the replaceable hacks these days) and most of his movies have the same lovable dork actors that use the same names from their previous movies even! Alien Factor: GORE = 2 SHIT = great cheese DEATH = to you Fiend: GORE = 1 SHIT = good cheese DEATH = nobody really needs to die over this though
